
The police in Bulqiza have cracked down on an illegal case of trading explosives.
According to the police, 1416 kg of explosives and 220 electric capsules were seized.
"The structures of the Dibër Local Police Directorate, in cooperation with the Bulqiza Police Station, in fulfillment of the work objectives for the prevention, identification and attack of informality, in cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office, based on the police intelligence that a subject was illegally trading ( shale), explosives in some other mining entities, have organized the work in order to verify, further prevent and attack this illegality.
As a result, the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office, where the criminal proceedings were initiated, for the criminal offense "Violation of the rules on explosive, flammable and radioactive substances" for the citizen G.Ç., 55 years old, resident in Tirana.
This citizen, in Thekë Martanesh, after storing in his warehouse, quantities of explosives intended for personal use, then illegally and without the relevant authorization from the Police Commissariat, traded (sold) the explosives to 9 subjects of others, being content only with an act-agreement between the parties (subjects).
In this subject, 1416 kg of explosives and 220 electric capsules were seized. Controls in mining entities of the district, in order to verify the implementation of laws, criteria and safety standards, continue. The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of Dibër General Jurisdiction, for further actions", the police announcement states.
