A 41-year-old woman from the village of Bilçë in Berat ended her life by drinking phostoxin. The event took place yesterday evening (February 7, 2024) where the victim Shpresa K., after drinking phostoxin, called her brother on the phone and said "I can't do it anymore brother, leave the children".
After that, the brother immediately arrived at the sister's apartment and found her in a critical condition. He first sent her to the Berat Regional Hospital and then was transported to the Trauma Hospital in Tirana, where he died 15 minutes after arrival.
It is learned that the woman had drunk 3 grains of phostoxin, after an argument on the phone with her husband, Çlirim K., who has been living in Senalik, Greece for a year.
The cause of the self-poisoning of the mother of two children is still a mystery, while the husband's name is not mentioned in the age announcement, only the parents, brother and children.
Sources within the family claim that the 41-year-old asked in the last moments of her life to be buried in the village of Banaj, near her family.
