Meanwhile, it is suspected that a still unidentified car drove away the killer after the murder of Edmond Papa. It is not excluded that this vehicle may have monitored the businessman's movements before the execution in the premises of a coffee bar in front of his brother's apartment on 'Fadil Bodinaku' street.
Until this stage of the investigation, drug trafficking is the main track that allegedly led to the businessman's murder. Based on this, the investigative group is also verifying whether the businessman's murder is related to the tritol murder of Aleksandër Sadikaj and the two Albanians in Greece.
Edmond Papa was executed on Friday afternoon in a bar in the Selita area while he was drinking coffee. In order to identify the author of the event, who moved on foot in disguise, the police of Tirana are gathering footage from security cameras in the area, but so far no valid sequence has been found. The 49-year-old is suspected of being heavily involved in drug trafficking from Turkey to Albania and from Albania to England. There are also suspicions that he was involved in money laundering. The Pope lived between Saranda and Fier but often traveled abroad.
