A 27-year-old man in Vlora has been prosecuted, because he made a false report that his car had been stolen. The police announce that the goal of the 27-year-old was to benefit from compensation worth 60,000 euros.
The vehicle was found hidden in a garage in Tirana.
" The investigative structures of the Vlora Police Station, immediately after receiving the report from the citizen K. Ç., resident in Italy, that his "Range Rover" type vehicle with Italian license plates, valued at 60,000 euros, had been stolen from him in Zvrnec, organized the work to clarify this case.
From the investigative actions, based on the obtained footage, it turned out that the citizen K. Ç. had made a false report about the theft of his vehicle, in order to benefit from compensation in the amount of 60,000 euros, from the vehicle insurance company.
Following the actions, the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office, where the proceedings began in free status for the citizen K. Ç., 27 years old, resident in Italy.
As a result of checks carried out in cooperation with Police Station No. 4, the "Range Rover" type vehicle was found hidden in a garage in Tirana, which was seized as material evidence.
The materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office for further action. ", announced the police.
