Leonard Duka, who is accused of ordering the murder of ex-policeman Santago Malko (Ervis Martinaj's right-hand man), has appeared for the first time in the trial that is taking place at GJKKO. The Duke was extradited on August 2 of this year from Belgium to Albania.
It is known that Santiago Malko's mother was also present in the senate, who said to the Duke: " You killed my son, you mask, you dog how come you there!"
"I will give my statements after I get to know the acts, I want more time", the Duke is said to have said.
The other members of the group have been tried and investigated in absentia, while he is expected to face the charges raised by SPAK, in this file.

Leonard Duka and Erlis Duka, brothers to each other, are the owners of a bar in the area of Fresko, where the plan to kill Malko is suspected to have been hatched.
These people allegedly chased and executed on August 27 in Xanfize Keko street, citizen Santiago Malko, former police officer and then a well-known figure in the world of crime for as long as he was involved in several criminal events, among others also the one that happened on October 4 of last year in the area of the former Block where Ervis Martinaj was injured, also a well-known character of the world of crime.
They moved in two cars, specifically in the 'Scoda Roomster' type vehicle these people were sitting Ilir Selmani, who was driving this vehicle, in the first place Blendi Tetaj, who is already arrested on the charge of not reporting a crime, Leonard Duka and Ervis Metani, the latter left a few minutes before the event happened. These people have made some moves. Meanwhile, in the 'Volkswagen' type vehicle, people Aleksandër Maxhaku, Oltian Loga, Dritan Aga and Fatmir Hyseni were killed. They first moved from the Fresco area, after actually having dinner, in the direction of Santiago Malko's apartment after many hikers in that area and some alleys.

Meanwhile, the citizen Ervis Metani is involved only due to the fact that the 'Golf 5' vehicle is owned by this citizen.
As for the motive, Santiago Malko had an early argument and conflict with Leonard Duka, he threatened his father and two cousins with a gun. However, this is not the final motive. The prosecution is investigating several tracks, such as conflicts due to drug trafficking or other criminal events.
