The Inspector General, Dashnor Sula, in a statement to the media before the next training with the heads and inspectors of inspection institutions in the Fier region, as well as in the framework of coordinating measures and priorities of controls during the tourist season, stated that food safety continues to be one of the main priorities of the inspectorates' work. According to him, this takes on special importance in this period, when the number of tourists in the country is increasing.
Sula called for the intensification of controls in milk processing plants, with the aim of ensuring that products meet the required safety and quality standards.
He announced that controls will also be extended to entities that cause oil pollution, and the use of pesticides in agricultural products will be monitored.
During his statement, the Chief Inspector also focused on the process of restructuring the inspectorates, emphasizing that some of them will be merged into a single structure.
