So far, it is reported that two arrest warrants have been executed, one against a police officer and another against a businessman.
A major operation is underway in Saranda and Ksamil. It is learned from Saranda that the prosecution has issued arrest warrants against police officers, local officials and businessmen suspected of involvement in illegal construction schemes.
Security measures have been signed for dozens of people, including employees of the Saranda Police Station, representatives of local government, as well as builders and businessmen who are suspected of having favored or benefited from illegal activities in coastal areas.
The operation is being carried out by the Vlora Local Police Directorate in cooperation with the Saranda Police Commissariat, while the checks have been extended to homes, businesses and other premises where it is suspected that the wanted persons may be located.
So far, it is reported that two arrest warrants have been executed, one for a police officer and another for a businessman. Their identities have not yet been made public by the authorities.
Preliminary sources indicate that the investigations focus on suspicions of favoritism, institutional inaction, and collaboration in illegal construction, mainly in the tourist areas of Saranda and Ksamil, where problems with urban developments and illegal construction have long been denounced.
Meanwhile, the action continues and it is expected that in the coming hours the authorities will provide more details on the number of people prosecuted and the specific charges against them.
