Two citizens were arrested by the Fier Police after an operation conducted yesterday afternoon in the "Apollonia" neighborhood, where they were caught driving an "Audi" vehicle armed with a weapon. Despite their attempt to flee the scene, they were stopped by law enforcement, who seized a firearm with live ammunition, the vehicle and two cell phones.
The arrested are Gentjan Ndreko alias Gentian Selaci and Ana Pelanaj.
During the search, a pistol firearm with combat ammunition was found in the driver's shoulder bag.
The firearm was seized as evidence, along with the vehicle and 2 mobile phones.
Following the actions in the case, the specialists for the Investigation of Crimes of the Fier Police Commissariat arrested in flagrante delicto the citizen GN alias GS, 40 years old, resident of the village of Sulaj, for the criminal offenses "Unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition" and "Disobedience to the order of a public order police officer" and the citizen AP, 31 years old, resident of the village of Portëz, for the criminal offenses "Actions that hinder the discovery of the truth" and "Disobedience to the order of a public order police officer".
The procedural materials were transferred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Fier, for further action.
