The file of the assassination attempt with two people killed and two injured in Shkodra has been transferred to SPAK. Sources indicate that special investigators will re-interrogate the perpetrator of the massacre, Ragip Gila, about the circumstances of the event and his motives.
Also on the list of people to be called is Denis Brajovic, the brother of Erogen Brajovic, one of the injured in the assassination attempt. Gila has stated that he had a personal conflict with Erogen and that his only target was him. But SPAK investigators do not take this version for granted and suspect that we are dealing with a fabricated alibi.
The main line of investigation is that Ragip Gila acted as a hired killer, executing the assassination on behalf of a powerful criminal group. SPAK is expected to deepen the investigation to uncover the behind-the-scenes and the orderers of the massacre, while Shkodra remains shaken by the wave of criminal violence that is not stopping.
The Shkodra massacre occurred on September 8, where Ragip Gila opened fire inside a bar, killing Armando Palin and Liridon Kraja, while Erogen Vaso and waitress Meri Kaceri were injured.
In his initial statement to investigators, Gila clearly stated that the sole target was Erogen Vaso.
"My only target was Erogen Vaso after a personal problem with him. Erogen Vaso kept threatening me and I had problems with him. He made me feel strong and used words against me. I only had personal problems with Erogen Vaso and I only wanted to shoot him. So I had personal problems with him," he said during the interrogation.
Gila's arrest came after an intense police pursuit. While attempting to escape capture, he fell from a height under the train tracks into the Kir River bed, injuring one of his legs.
At that moment, the police called on him to drop the weapon and surrender.
Gila reacted by saying: "I threw the gun away, I surrendered, my leg hurts a lot."
After this, the 30-year-old was put in handcuffs.
