Two months after the execution of Arben Lleshi inside the prison in Peqin, his family has refused to retrieve the body due to fear of revenge.
Meanwhile, the funeral ceremony will be performed by the municipality. The Institute of Forensic Medicine has made a request to the Prosecutor's Office of Elbasan for the initiation of procedures.
It is learned that the dead body of the victim was not retrieved by family members or relatives, who abandoned it due to the fear of the continuation of the revenge saga.
Under these conditions, according to the law, IML has addressed the Prosecutor's Office with a request, where it asks for permission to continue the burial procedures. Officially, the prosecutor's office of Elbasan said that it will approve the permit and then it is the relevant department at the Municipality that will carry out the burial of Arben Lleshi.
We remember that Arben Lleshi was shot dead inside the prison by Sokol Mjacaj, another sentenced to life imprisonment. Indrit Shaqja was also injured. The investigators suspect that Mjacaj acted and killed the accomplice against payment, but have not yet been able to identify the perpetrators.
Mjacaj has given several testimonies to the investigators, but the latter say that he gives an unreliable alibi, but is misleading them in the investigation tracks. The victim Arben Lleshi was sentenced to life for killing and then burning Agim Hoxha in Great Britain in 2012. After this event, the Lleshi family lost 4 members. The two uncles of Arben Lleshi, Xhavi and Hajredin Lleshi, were executed in 2013 and 2016. The two sons of his uncles, Artan and Klevis Lleshi, disappeared, whose fate is still unknown today.
