A 41-year-old man has been arrested by Vlora police after attempting to escape from Albanian territory.
According to the police, the 41-year-old man with the initials RB was wanted for the criminal offenses "Cultivation of narcotic plants" and "Production and sale of narcotics."
He was wanted after 302 cultivated cannabis plants and 121 kg of cannabis plants in the process of drying were found in a mountainous area of Himara.
"He attempted to illegally cross the border, while he was wanted under the operational plan "Coordinates", finalized a few days ago in Himara, the 41-year-old was captured and put in handcuffs.
The services of the Vlora DVP, in cooperation with the services of the Gjirokastër DVP, as a result of the exchange of information and increased controls at the border, with the aim of stopping wanted citizens who attempt to illegally cross the border to evade criminal liability, have arrested in the village of Kosovicë, Dropull, the citizen:
• RB, 41 years old, resident of Lukovë.
This citizen, in collaboration with citizen AN, for whom work continues to capture him, have been declared wanted within the framework of the operational plan "Coordination", as suspected perpetrators of the criminal offenses "Cultivation of narcotic plants" and "Production and sale of narcotics", after 302 cultivated cannabis plants and 121 kg of cannabis plants in the process of drying were found in the territory of the Himara municipality, in a mountainous area, the police announced.
