Greek authorities have conducted an anti-drug operation that led to the seizure of a significant amount of narcotics and the arrest of three people.
Two Greek citizens, aged 59 and 50, and a 35-year-old Albanian citizen were arrested. They are accused of drug possession and trafficking.
During the searches, police found over 26 kilograms of cocaine and more than 360 kilograms of cannabis, in various forms. According to estimates, the market value of the narcotics is around 2.5 million euros.
Preliminary investigation shows that the 59-year-old had obtained the drugs and was also acting on behalf of the 50-year-old. The majority of the quantity was discovered in a warehouse and an apartment used by the suspects. In these premises, police also found equipment used for packaging and distributing the drugs.
Authorities are continuing their investigations to identify other people involved in this activity.
