Journalist Klodiana Lala said that the drugs that were distributed in schools are thought to have come from the US and Canada. She said that hashish came to Albania in the form of children's toys.
"The drugs are thought to have come from the US and Canada and come in the form of children's toys. At first glance, they look like a children's toy, so it has passed as a can, a child's toy, and the moment it is opened, it is hashish that has been produced with large bulbs and is considered to be of very high quality. I am a mother and I have 2 children and the phenomenon of selling drugs in schools worries me a lot and I have a higher sensitivity than I can do a normal job as a journalist", she said.
Lala adds that it is still unclear how this drug managed to pass through customs in Albania.
"There are some shortcomings, we still don't know and we don't have an answer from the authorities about how this amount of drugs entered. It is thought that it came by mail and it is not known how it got through customs. We do not have the heads of criminal groups that have been affected. If we don't hit the heads, some young people will go to prison, there are some young people, some of whom are addicted to drugs, who can quickly enter this path. This story should not be seen as an isolated operation, it is overdue," she concluded.
