Other details have been revealed from the anti-drug mega-operation that today resulted in the arrest of over 200 people.
Journalist Glidona Daci has discovered that among those arrested for selling drugs was a pregnant girl and an elderly man over 74 years old. She added that the police operation started months ago, while she indicated that the distributors were compromised by the surveillance and photographic evidence of them during the sale of narcotics.
"A pregnant girl and 3 others were involved in the sale of drugs and were arrested during the anti-drug operation. A man over 74 years old was also involved in the distribution of narcotics.
The price of cocaine in the country has fallen because there are bulk warehouses that have not been sold. According to experts, the purity of cocaine is up to 90%. The fact that it is sold cheaply shows that it can be found more easily in Albania.
The operation started months ago. The moments of drug buying by infiltrated persons were photographed and intercepted. Most of those arrested are drug distributors, but not the main ones responsible", she said.
