Lushnja police have arrested the two drivers after yesterday's accident. A truck crashed into the ambulance, resulting in the death of the patient Dashamir Koçaj, 77 years old, who was being transported to Tirana.
The collision injured the ambulance driver, the nurse and the daughters of the 77-year-old man who died.
"According to official sources, following the procedural actions carried out for the accident that happened yesterday, on the "Lushnjë-Fier" road axis, resulting in the death of a patient who was being transported by ambulance, the specialists of the Road Traffic Sector of DVP Fier arrested the 2 vehicle drivers (truck and ambulance) involved in this accident, citizens L. Gj., 31 years old and FR, 54 years old, for the criminal offense "Violation of traffic rules".
"Also, the ambulance driver, the nurse and the daughters of the patient who died were injured in the collision," the police announced.
