"The money or I will bring you the Albanian", as the British boss

In order to get a debt of thousands of pounds, a crime boss in Britain threatened the debtors that in order to solve the problem, he could bring the "Albanian" into play.

It is about Asim Tufail , a 52-year-old who risks a long prison sentence for his role in drug and arms trafficking.

As the British media write, he was also involved in international money laundering operations and admitted dealing with 'key people' in Manchester and Liverpool.

Investigators say that, among other things, he acted on behalf of other criminals to 'collect debts'.

The hearing held at Manchester Crown Court heard how the 52-year-old told debtors that the criminals he acted for had 'got on the tip of their noses from games and lies', after the £600,000 debt had not been repaid. He then asked them for the title deeds of a property, in lieu of payment.

The 52-year-old also threatened the person in question with the intervention of the "Albanian", said prosecutor Tim Storrie, without specifying who it was about.

Tufail is expected to be sentenced on Wednesday after pleading guilty to a series of charges. He also made his son, Junnaid Tufail, 23 years old, a part of his criminal activity.

The latter described his father as a 'model father'. Even the 23-year-old has accepted the charges for several crimes related to drugs and weapons.

The pair also advertised firearms for sale to other criminals on the EncroChat communications network.

In this app, the 52-year-old was nicknamed 'Assassin New', while his son was nicknamed 'Baby Assassin'. They were both arrested at Manchester Airport in January 2021 on their way to Dubai. Father and son lived in Northenden, among the dizzying wealth./ Manchestereveningnews.co.uk
