It is reported that immediately after the collision, the driver of the vehicle fled the scene, attempting to evade responsibility. He was caught just a few minutes later by a police patrol on a road near the area where the accident occurred.

After being stopped, the 57-year-old stated that he left because he was in a state of shock. 57-year-old Nikoll Radaçi, after being escorted to the police station, was questioned twice, as at the first moment he was in a serious psychological state and under the influence of alcohol.

During his testimony, he expressed shock over the incident, saying : "I don't deserve to live, I'm shocked, I don't remember anything, I grabbed the children and I was drunk."

The event has caused strong reactions in public opinion, while investigations continue to fully clarify the circumstances.

Meanwhile, it is learned that the parents of one of the victims, 10-year-old Klersi Petrit Nikolli, were in Italy at the time of the incident, as his father was being treated for a serious illness.

The event has deeply shocked public opinion, while investigations continue to fully clarify the circumstances.

Immediately after the accident, the driver got out of the vehicle screaming, "Oh my God, what have I done?" He then disappeared from the security camera footage and fled the scene.

Residents of the area say that the road where the incident occurred is problematic and a constant source of accidents due to the speeding of vehicles. They called for increased checks by the traffic police.

Residents of the area told "Report TV" that Nikoll Radaçi, who caused today's accident, was known in the area as a person who drove at high speed.

"There is a problem here, drivers are driving fast, drivers are driving fast, but the police need to do more checks on this road," said a resident.

"The drivers drive very fast on this road. Some are even from the neighborhood, without licenses, but they drive like crazy," said another resident.

"People are walking like mad on the streets here. The streets here are turning into bloodshed every day and night,"  said another.

Just a day before the tragedy, a local resident testified that he had miraculously escaped with his 7-year-old grandson, after the Radaçi passed very close to them at breakneck speed.

Meanwhile, the 57-year-old appears to have been fined several times by the police, and on two occasions his driving license was revoked for driving while intoxicated. This makes the situation even more serious, creating the belief that today's tragic accident was not unexpected, but an event that could have been prevented.
