A 59-year-old man was arrested in Durrës after being declared an international wanted man for being part of a drug trafficking criminal group. It is about Vikr Leki, who was sentenced by a Court in Italy to 8 years and 4 months in prison. His arrest was made with the purpose of extradition to Italy.
"The operations for the capture of internationally wanted persons continue. DVP Durrës, as a result of the exchange of information between Interpol Tirana and Interpol Rome, located and arrested, for the purpose of extradition to Italy, citizen Viktor Leki, 59 years old.
This citizen was declared internationally wanted, after the Court of Lecce, Italy, with the decision dated 06.03.2018, sentenced him to 8 years and 4 months of imprisonment, for the criminal offense of "Participation in a criminal group, with the purpose of drug trafficking". The procedures for the extradition of this citizen to Italy are continuing ," the police announced.
