An Albanian in Malta has died after being trapped under the rubble. A roof collapsed in Sliema, Malta this morning. Police were informed of an incident where a roof collapsed on a residence at St Ignatius Junction where two workers were carrying out work on the building.
The police along with members of the Civil Defense Department and a medical team from Mater Dei arrived at the site to help the injured but to no avail.
It is learned that another Albanian, who was also working in the building, was injured. The latter managed to get out of the building by himself.
