Vlora Police have provided details of the investigations and dynamics of the assassination attempt that occurred yesterday evening (January 26), in Orikum, where Sildi Velaj was wounded with 4 bullets.
The blue uniforms announce that they have identified and announced the search for the second suspected perpetrator as an accomplice, Emiljano Bello, 36 years old, while the suspected perpetrator of the crime, Qerim Bello, his cousin, was previously discovered.
Official sources indicated that the cause of the crime is "conflicts over weak motives."
"Intensive investigations to fully clarify the circumstances and legally document the event that occurred on 26.01.2025, in Orikum, where citizen SV was wounded by gunfire, while work continues to capture the wanted suspect.
As part of the investigation, another citizen suspected of being involved in this incident has been identified and declared wanted.
On 26.01.2025, at around 18:40, in the premises of a gas station in Orikum, it is suspected that after a conflict for weak motives, citizen QB, 28 years old, shot with a firearm, wounding citizen S. V, 29 years old, resident of Orikum. The injured person was transported to the Trauma Hospital in Tirana for specialized treatment.
From the investigations conducted so far, the suspected perpetrator's accomplice, citizen EB, 36 years old, resident of Orikum, has also been identified and declared wanted.
"The police are continuing their intensive work to capture them, as well as to fully clarify and document the incident. Other details remain part of the investigation, which is being conducted under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Vlora. The materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office for further action," the police announced.
