Shkodra Police have arrested the perpetrator of the gunshot wound that occurred on Thursday evening in the Dervishbeg Bridge area.
According to the police, citizen Ivzin Gucia, 39 years old, owner of a service station, fired a gun at citizen Genc Hoxha, 45 years old, after a conflict over weak motives.
As a result of the shooting, the 45-year-old man suffered injuries to his leg and is under medical care, out of danger to his life.
After being notified of the event, the Crime Investigation specialists of the Shkodra Police Commissariat, in cooperation with the Serious Crimes specialists and supported by the "Eagle" Special Force, immediately organized the work to capture the perpetrator.
Thanks to the quick response of the police, the perpetrator was identified and arrested within a few minutes, while during the actions, the firearm, a pistol, which he possessed with a permit, was also seized.
The police are continuing their actions to fully document the event, while the procedural materials will be passed on to the Prosecutor's Office at the Shkodra Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction for further action.
