Four Albanian citizens have been arrested by Italian police after being caught red-handed exchanging a quantity of cocaine in Lucca.
The operation was carried out on January 14 and was only made public today. It was the Director of the Office of General Prevention and Public Rescue, who, while passing by on the street after work in the 'Mugnano' neighborhood, noticed a car with three suspicious people inside, so he immediately contacted the officers for verification.
Shortly before the patrol arrived, another small car arrived alongside the three, with a man at the wheel, into which one of the three Albanians who were in the other vehicle entered, apparently to sell or exchange goods.
When they saw the police, they both got out of the car and threw 2 wrappers a short distance away near the railway line.
After checking the seized cars and the 4 arrested, the amount of 4 thousand euros in cash was found in the bag of one of them. The 4 were arrested for drug trafficking and were made available to the justice authorities.
