Two people have fallen into the handcuffs of the Gjirokastra police, after they were caught in the act of transporting 15 immigrants for payment who were going to cross the border illegally.
The arrested are Rudi Ruzani and Fundim Masha. "Blues" have also seized the two vehicles in which the migrants were being transported and two mobile phones.
"The police operation coded "Road Guard 63" is finalized. They were caught in the act transporting against payment, 15 immigrants who were going to cross the border illegally, 2 citizens are put in handcuffs.
The 2 vehicles used to transport the immigrants and 2 mobile phones were seized.
The Section for the Investigation of Illegal Traffic, following the continuous work, in the field, for the prevention, identification and attack of the criminal activity of providing assistance to foreign citizens, for illegal crossing of the border, supported by information intelligence, has finalized the operation coded "Road Guard 63", as a result of which the citizens, 49 years old and 39 years old, residents of Durrës, were arrested in flagrante delicto.
In the national axis Gjirokastër-Tepelën, the citizens were caught red-handed transporting 15 immigrants from the MENA countries who had the intention of illegal crossing to the neighboring countries, with 2 vehicles, in the direction of Tirana. As material evidence, 2 vehicles and 2 mobile phones were seized. The materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Gjirokastër, for further actions," the police announced.
