The State Police has taken stock of the operations carried out throughout the country. In the press statement, the police announce that the operation 'Tempulli' has led to the arrest of 563 drug producers/distributors, as well as the seizure of about 800 kilograms of various drugs and 15 firearms.
As for the second phase, "Tempulli 2", so far 301 citizens have been brought to justice, 11 criminal groups have been hit in the field of narcotics, and about 585 kilograms of various drugs (cannabis, cocaine and heroin) have been seized and 12 firearms.
The police also took stock of the operation "Rule of Law" for the month of January:
- 14 citizens declared internationally wanted and 59 citizens declared nationally wanted were captured;
- 7 remote control mines were seized, during the "Safe City", "New Start" and "Brothers" operations, in Mirdita, Lezhë and Tirana. Through these operations, the Police prevented serious criminal events against the person. Meanwhile, the preventive force of the Police and the immediate reaction to the notifications of the citizens also prevented the escalation of 8 conflicts, mainly: in the family, with cutting tools or for property reasons.
- 18 firearms were seized throughout the country and an arsenal in Fier, as part of the "Risk" operation, consisting of: machine guns, hand grenades, radios, GPS and a large amount of ammunition of different calibers;
-operations "Taxisti", in Korça and "Chicago", in Tirana, were finalized, which hit the criminal activities of trafficking cannabis and firearms, from Albania to RMV or from the USA to Albania. 13.2 kg of cannabis, 1 Kalashnikov and 8000 euros were seized from both operations;
- 83 criminal events were revealed, specifically: ✔79 thefts, some of them with violence or breaking and entering, ✔planting of explosives in a residence and a business in Dibër, as well as ✔2 cases of vehicle burning in Tirana;
- 14 cases of smuggling with goods such as: fireworks, cigars, gold jewelry, mobile phones, cattle, clothing and other products were struck;
- 15 cases of illegal organization of games of chance, mainly sports bets, in bars were hit;
- 71 cases of environmental crimes were identified and dealt with, such as: illegal constructions, waste of land and illegal cutting of forests.
Meanwhile, in Valbona, Mount Korabi, Hot and Kurbin, help was given to 7 Albanian and foreign citizens whose lives were endangered by the blockade for various reasons.
The Traffic Police and intelligent cars have been present during this month, in all axes of the country, with the sole purpose: preventing road accidents and facilitating the movement of road users.
As a result of preventive work and continuous monitoring:
179 drivers were arrested, of which 137 for driving while intoxicated and 42 for driving without a driving license.
293 driving licenses were suspended, of which 124 for exceeding speed limits, 88 for driving under the influence of alcoholic beverages and 81 for other violations of the Highway Code, for which this administrative measure is provided.
Meanwhile, the Border Police has struck:
55 cases of illegal border crossing;
6 cases of using false documents to cross the border;
8 cases of smuggling of goods;
5 cases of abandonment of minors.
