Property conflicts continue to claim lives...
New details have been revealed from the crime in Shkodër, where a 61-year-old man was shot dead. The incident occurred in the village of Abat and is suspected to have been caused by an early property conflict. The victim was identified as Piro Prroni, while the perpetrator is Ndoc Maçaj.
Sources from the investigation team indicate that there was an early conflict between the suspected perpetrator and the victim that lasted for more than 10 years.
The cause of the renewed conflict is suspected to be the land registration process, which has recently begun in the Shala area and in several administrative units of Shkodra. This has revived tensions between the parties over the ownership of land plots.
The police continue their search to capture the perpetrator, in order to shed more light on the circumstances of the incident.
" At around 20:00, in the village of Abat, Shala, citizen NM, under still unclear circumstances, is suspected of having shot and killed citizen PP, 61 years old. Police services immediately went to the village of Abat, to enable the arrest of the perpetrator.
Meanwhile, a special investigative group has been set up to clarify the circumstances and legally document the event ," the police announced.
