The State Police has given details about the mega-operation, where 16 arrest warrants were issued, while 6 murders were discovered. The Director of Police, Muhamet Rrumbullaku listed some of the crimes that have already been solved, in the periods that occurred in 2021-2023 in the group of Laert Haxhi.
Laert Haxhiu is accused of being the organizer and orderer of two murders in Greece.
In a statement to the media, Rrumbullaku was asked why the arrest of Laert Haxhiu failed for 5 years and if he had collaborators in the ranks of justice.
Round denied any debunking of operations related to him. According to him, in no case should the image of the police and institutions be damaged, while in the capacity of the director he said that he undertakes the self-cleaning of the police organization and emphasized that he will speak with facts and evidence and not opinions.
Rrumbullaku also emphasized that not every operation that is not successful means that it is a de-conspiracy.
"Not in every case can you think that a police operation, on the basis of the data that the police structures receive, may not be successful and we can call it that there are collaborators from the police. I assure you that the operations against Haxhiu in no case, from the analyzes that I have done, when I was leading the state police and AMP, we have not had such deconspiracies and criminal connections for which we should accuse the police structures. You have to be very reserved with what you share because we as the police and the prosecutor will speak with facts and evidence about each individual part of the police structure and outside it for issues related to the degree of implication. In no case should we harm the image of the police organization, institutions. As the Director General of the police, I undertake the self-cleaning of my organization above all cases.said Round.
