The State Police has given details about the mega-operation, where 16 arrest warrants were issued, while 6 murders were discovered.
The Director of Police, Muhamet Rrumbullaku listed some of the crimes that have already been solved, in the periods that occurred in 2021-2023.
Rrumbullaku has also announced the executioners of the murder of Çajup Selimi in Tepelena in June 2021. The suspected perpetrators are Laert Haxhiu, Artan Tafani, Erisian Abedini, Lulzim Spaija, Ligor Lomacka, Bujar Abedini.
How was businessman Çajup Selimi killed?
Çajup Selimi, 52 years old, was executed at the entrance of his house in the "15 Shtatori" neighborhood on June 1, 2021. Selimi came out of the house after being called by a person and was shot on the stairs of the second floor of the building where he lived.
The 52-year-old died immediately due to his injuries. From the information of that time, the perpetrators of the murder are suspected to be two people. Selimi was known as the owner of a business at the entrance to Tepelena. The first suspicion at the time he was killed was that the businessman was executed because of competition.
We remind you that Artan Tafani, arrested a few days ago, after being wanted for the theft of 30 thousand euros in an 'Exchange', has agreed to become an associate of justice by analyzing 20 serious criminal events, among them 6 murders. Tafani, who turns out to be part of the criminal gang of Laert Haxhi, in Lushnje, has revealed that two of the unsolved murders happened in Greece, while the other 4 happened in Elbasan Korçë, Lushnje, Tepelën.
The victims of 6 sensational murders are: Çajup Selimi, Alban Semaku, Albi Bashaliu, Lulzim Qorri, Fridmand Xhaferraj, Dickens Halili.
