A photo of 31-year-old Imer Krrashi, who attempted to escape from the police after driving with a firearm in his vehicle, has been published.
The young man was stopped for a check in the Liqeni i Thatë area, but when the officers asked to search the vehicle, the 31-year-old fled at high speed, attempting to escape towards Tegu.
The 31-year-old attempted to flee and was arrested after a few minutes of police pursuit.
During the pursuit, he crashed into 9 vehicles and a motorcycle carrying an off-duty police officer and his wife. As a result, the two people riding the motorcycle were injured.
After an intense pursuit, Imer Krrashi was placed in handcuffs and his pistol was seized.
"Around 12:30, at Liqeni i Thatë, the Special Force "Eagle" stopped the vehicle driven by citizen IK, 31 years old, after receiving information that the 31-year-old was carrying a firearm.
After the stop, when the Police services informed him that he and the vehicle would be searched, the 31-year-old continued driving at high speed, crashing into several vehicles and a motorcycle. As a result, the driver and passenger in the motorcycle were injured and are in hospital. After an intensive pursuit, the vehicle was stopped. During the search of the vehicle, a firearm was found. More detailed information will be provided at the conclusion of the procedural actions, " the police announced.
Due to this incident, traffic from the Sauk overpass towards Teg was blocked.
