The release came after the prosecution's request...
The Saranda Court has released from prison the 17-year-old who stabbed his classmate a few days ago.
K. Cora was placed under "house arrest", even though the latter stabbed another 17-year-old 3 times.
After the investigation, the Saranda Prosecutor's Office determined that the incident had a different course than initially reported. It is suspected that Kalemi attempted to strike first, while Cora reacted in self-defense. For this reason, prosecutor Esmeranda Basho changed the charge against him to "Serious injury in exceeding the limits of necessary defense" and requested an assessment of the legality of the arrest in flagrante delicto, as well as the imposition of the measure "House arrest".
The preliminary investigation judge, Edona Vajushi, accepted the Prosecution's request, imposing the same security measure for Cora, who will reach the age of majority in seven months.
The incident occurred on March 27 in neighborhood no. 1 of Saranda, on "Bilal Golemi" street, where as a result of a conflict between teenagers, 17-year-old K. Cora stabbed another 17-year-old, B. Kalemi, in the stomach and twice in the hip.
