59-year-old Albanian Georgo Asllani has been sentenced to 13 years in prison in England, after shooting his ex-wife's grandson in Waltham Cross in June 2022.
Asllani was convicted of possession of a firearm without a permit and intentional wounding due to several family disputes over property motives in Albania.
It is suspected that the incident occurred after the separation of Asllan and his ex-wife not amicably in the United Kingdom.
Asllani shot the citizen twice, while the latter was working in a house on Trinity Lane, together with his brother.
The situation could have gone even worse, if a colleague of the brothers had not intervened to stop the 59-year-old Albanian.
In his testimony in court, Asllani claimed that he was under threat from the mafia and was acting on the orders of an individual known as the Commander.
Despite his claims, the court found him guilty, while the injured is still recovering from his injuries and unable to work.
