The police of Kurbini have seized the business cameras of the inert company where the owner Ardjan Gjeloshi was slightly injured by a gunshot attack while the economist Selman Mihana was executed by mistake.
According to the police announcement, the cameras were seized as material evidence that could lead to clarifying the route followed by the perpetrators.
Meanwhile, the police have rejected the accusations that police chief Shkëlzen Metushi helped the perpetrators by removing the security cameras from Ardjan Gjelos' business.
"Regarding an article posted on social networks, through which the head of the Kurbin Police Station is accused of helping the perpetrators of the incident that happened this morning, we clarify the public opinion that the accusations are completely untrue.
The services of the Kurbin Police Station have not removed any camera from the business of the citizen Ardjan Gjeloshi and have not exercised any control in the premises of this business
This morning, the special investigative group seized as material evidence, the footage recorded by the business cameras of this citizen and continues to seize any footage on the route that the perpetrators are suspected to have moved, footage which will they serve the special investigation group for clarifying and documenting the event.
The special investigation group has carried out all procedural actions in accordance with legal procedures and under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of General Jurisdiction Lezhë, intensive actions continue to clarify the event, as well as to identify and capture the perpetrators.
The Local Directorate of the Lezha Police expresses regret for these allusions and accusations, which aim to denigrate the leaders of the Kurbin Police, who are characterized by high moral and professional integrity.
