Payment of tens of millions to Liri Berisha's foundation, a payment of 20,000 euros to his lawyer in France to protect him in the fight against the US for 'non grata', payments in large amounts for health services as well as a payment of made by the Homeplan company for bringing a musical group from abroad for the PD electoral campaign in 2013 are just some of the episodes of corruption that SPAK has put in front of the former Prime Minister and his son-in-law in the 500-page dossier on the 'Partizani' affair.

Only towards the foundation of Liri Berisha Jamarbër and Argita Malltezi have poured in the years 2010-2022, 8.6 million new lek, 24 thousand euros and 8200 dollars. While the companies involved in the Homeplan corruption affair in 2016 poured 18,500 euros and in 2022 the firm Kontakt 30 thousand euros.

SPAK says that all payments were made by the couple Jamarbër and Argita Malltezi, whom SPAK considers the 'bank account' of Berisha, who took care to maintain the image as mutual, while the daughter and son-in-law kept the money.

"In order to preserve the image of a politician who has never gotten rich, citizen Sali Berisha would not formally increase his wealth, and this benefit would pass to citizen Jamarber Malltezi, married and as mentioned above, in a legal community, with citizen Argita Maltezi, daughter of citizen Sali Berisha. As it results from the investigation, access to the assets of Malltezi citizens is permanent by the Berisha family and not just the use of their assets for accommodation but also the use of monetary amounts, in values that, given the economic level of an Albanian politician, supported only in his salary, they are not justified", the file states.

In the 500 pages delivered by SPAK to Jamarber Malltez, with which accusations of passive corruption and money laundering were made known to him, the benefit that Berisha's son-in-law received from the privatization process of Partizan, on whose land he later built, is also summarized 19 towers together with his cousin Xhimi Begeja and the builder Fatmir Bektashi, already accused together with Sali Berisha for this corrupt affair.

Not only cash, invoices and dividends totaling over 4.6 million euros, but also over 1 million and 250 thousand euros as a benefit from "service units received in excess of the taxable area at the 11-story ARA", one of the towers built in the Magnet complex on the lands of the "former Partizan Club".

In this part of the file, SPAK says that Jamarber Malltezi, obviously taking advantage of his position of power compared to Bektash (who was an investor) and his cousin, has also received an additional area of the tower. A surface that according to SPAK does not belong according to the division made with the other partners. So the whole "Operation Partizani" produced an incredible profit of 5,908,570 euros for the family of the son-in-law of former Prime Minister Berisha! This Friday, the Special Court of Appeal upheld the house arrest measure for Sali Berisha and Jamarbër Malltezi, who were dismissed after requesting a re-evaluation due to the two-month reporting of the investigations./ Shqiptarja.com
