In the Special Appeal of GJKKO, the hearing is taking place for Laert Haxhiu, who has been sentenced to life imprisonment for the "Lushnje Massacre".
Haxhiu has appealed the decision of the first instance that sentenced him to life imprisonment in absentia. He is accused of killing Zamir Latif and Jurgen Hoxha, as well as wounding Marjus Xhepexhiu and Bujar Turku.
It should be noted that SPAK head Altin Dumani and prosecutor Doloreza Musabelli are also present in the hall where the senate is held.
The trial is followed by Haxhiu's father. Laert Haxhiu himself is present at the hearing, defended by lawyer Detar Hysi.
Maritime lawyer Hysi: I request the removal from the trial body of judge Daniela Shirka, after considering a request on the merits.
Doloreza Musabelli: Bujar Turku and Agron Hoxha are considered to have been notified, while for the other persons who have left, we ask once again to try to notify them. Under these conditions, we request the postponement of the session so that they can be notified as well.
