A house caught fire near the area of the former Chapel in Vlora, where an elderly person lost his life.

The employees of the fire service arrived at the scene and first isolated the flames and then went inside the apartment, where they also found the victim, who, according to an employee of the fire service, is suspected to have been found in the center of the fire and did not have a chance to leave
"The fire service received notification of a fire in this apartment, which is very old. We immediately made ourselves available to the incident with all the forces and tools. When we arrived at the scene of the incident, we found that the fire had reached large proportions, as the flames they had gone out on the roof.
With our quick actions, we first made it possible to isolate the flames and then we went inside because we were told that there was a person inside the apartment. We went inside and found that the person died after it happened in the middle of the fire. Maybe he was old and didn't have a chance to leave the apartment. I believe that the cause will have been the use of a heater", he said.
