Five people have been arrested by the Vlora police, suspected of distributing narcotics in the city's tourist areas. Among those arrested are two Italian citizens.
The police have finalized the operation codenamed "West", within which five citizens were arrested, on suspicion of transporting and selling narcotics.
The arrested are NK, 20 years old, RH, 20 years old, MM, 23 years old, all three residents of Lezha, as well as CL, 42 years old, resident of Rome, Italy, and CS, 37 years old, resident of Palermo, Italy.
According to the police announcement, the people were stopped in the Zvërnec area, while during the searches in the vehicle they were using, in the apartment where they were staying in the "Uji i Ftohtë" neighborhood in Vlora and during the physical search, around 700 doses of various types of narcotics such as ketamine, MDMA and ecstasy, prepared for sale, were found.
Also, a sum of money suspected of being the proceeds of criminal activity and 8 mobile phones were seized.
Preliminary investigations suspect that the arrested were distributing narcotics on beaches and entertainment venues in the city of Vlora.
The procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecution for the criminal offense of "Production and sale of narcotics", committed in collaboration.
