"Tirana/1 kg and 100 grams of cocaine are seized, 5 citizens are put in handcuffs. The police operation, codenamed "Moncler", has been successfully completed after a several-month investigation, for the crackdown on criminal activity in the field of narcotics.
The operation developed by the Narcotics Investigation Section under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction Tirana, in cooperation with the Special Operational Force at the Tirana DVP.
5 citizens who, in cooperation with each other, distributed the narcotic substance cocaine, in night clubs in Tirana, were put in handcuffs.
About 1 kg and 100 g of the suspected narcotic substance cocaine, 3 vehicles, 9 mobile devices, 710 euros and 149,000 ALL were seized.
Specialists of the Narcotics Investigation Section under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction Tirana, in cooperation with the Special Operational Force at the DVP Tirana, following the work to combat criminal activity in the field of distribution of narcotics , after several months of real investigative work, successfully organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "Moncler".
As part of this operation, the following citizens were arrested in flagrante delicto:
- LG, 26 years old, ES, 29 years old, both living in Shijak, BL, 24 years old, EN, 34 years old, both living in Durrës, and MD, 32 years old, living in Rrashbull.
A 34-year-old citizen of DB was also declared wanted.
On the secondary road Tirana-Durres, near the village of Marikaj, the Police services have located the aforementioned citizens, and during the control of one of their vehicles, a package of suspected narcotics of the cocaine type, weighing about 1 kg, was found. of 100 gr.
From the verifications carried out, it has emerged that these citizens, in cooperation with each other, procured suspected narcotics of the cocaine type in Durrës, and then sold it mainly in nightclubs in Tirana.
As material evidence, about 1 kg and 100 g of the suspected narcotic substance cocaine, 3 vehicles, 9 mobile devices, 710 euros and 149,000 ALL were seized.
