A 35-year-old man has been arrested by police after distributing cocaine in various areas of Tirana. The young man has been identified as Erdi Shima.
According to police, the 28-year-old passenger is under investigation for failing to report a crime.
480 grams of suspected cocaine, 1 vehicle and 2 mobile phones were seized.
"Following the work on the successive strikes on criminal activity in the field of narcotics, based on information that a citizen possessed and dealt with the distribution of cocaine narcotics as part of a proactive proceeding, the Narcotics Investigation Section at the Tirana Police Department under the direction of the Prosecution conducted the anti-drug operation codenamed "Next", within which the citizen Erdi Shima, 35 years old, resident of Tirana, was arrested in flagrante delicto. The citizen DM, 28 years old, was also criminally prosecuted.
The Narcotics Investigation Section of the Tirana Local Police Directorate has collected information, thanks to police intelligence, as part of a proactive proceeding, that citizen E. Sh was involved in the distribution of the narcotic substance cocaine, in large quantities, in different areas of the city of Tirana.
Based on the information collected, thanks to quick and operational actions, the vehicle with driver Erdi Shima and passenger D. M was stopped on "Sami Frashëri" street.
"During the search of the vehicle in which these two citizens were traveling, the Police found a bag of cocaine weighing 480 grams, which was seized as material evidence along with the vehicle. The procedural materials were passed on to the Prosecutor's Office for further action," the police announced.
