A 38-year-old man who was arrested for cattle theft appears to be facing an even more serious charge, that of having sexual relations with a minor.
It was revealed from the 38-year-old's phone that he had had a relationship with a 13-year-old girl. The arrested person is citizen S.Gj, born and residing in Milot (Kurbin).
"The Section for Large-Scale Crimes at the Lezha Police Station, in continuation of the work to prevent, identify and solve cases of property theft and hold the perpetrators legally accountable, as well as based on the evidence collected, finalized the police operation codenamed "Transit", within which it was possible to capture and detain the citizen: Simon Gjoka, 38 years old, born and residing in Milot Kurbin.
The investigations conducted have revealed that citizen S. Gj is the author of several thefts of cattle in the village of Gajush, thefts that occurred in the first week of February 2025, and is suspected of having committed several other thefts in other villages, where work continues on their legal documentation.
During the search of his apartment, the Police seized two vehicles used to transport the cattle that this citizen stole in the villages of Lezha.
Following the actions, the police, while examining this citizen's cell phone, discovered that the 38-year-old had had sexual intercourse with a 13-year-old minor (the daughter of a citizen who was sheltering in her apartment in Lezha, a friendly connection of his).
Work continues to collect evidence and complete legal documentation of other criminal offenses, as well as to identify potential accomplices who may have helped in the thefts.
The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Lezha, for the criminal offenses of "Theft committed in collaboration" and "Sexual relations with minors", the Police announced.
