A powerful explosion in a warehouse complex, an industrial area in Lushnje, killed a father and son and injured 7 people, among them the MP of the SP, Bujar Çela, who was in his business.
The explosion happened yesterday around 15:30 at the place called "Plasma Roundabout", in a warehouse under construction in the city, and the cause was an incident, as a crane working in the warehouse touched the high voltage wires.
"It is suspected that during the work, a crane operator driving a crane accidentally touched the high voltage line and as a result a powerful explosion occurred," Lushnje police informed.
As a result of the explosion, father and son, Roland and Elidion Hoxha, 51 and 24 years old, were killed, while 7 others were injured, including MP Bujar Çela, who underwent an operation. The latter and Sokol Lumi are receiving medical treatment at the Trauma hospital in Tirana, while the other 5 had minor injuries and received medical help at the Lushnja hospital.

The cause of this long incident that ended in tragedy for the Hoxha family remains unclear, but the proportions could have been more serious, based on the consequences.
In the video of the explosion after the contact of the crane with the high voltage line, objects with high pressure are shown on fire, where it is suspected that there may have been oxygen cylinders in these workplaces that triggered the powerful explosion. At the request of the investigative bodies that are carrying out the necessary expertise, OSHEE cut off the electricity of the 35kV Plasmas-Hysgjokaj line for a few hours, leaving the administrative units, Hysgjokaj, Karbunarë e Vogël and Ballagat without electricity for a few hours.
