Why was Elton Çiçaj killed?
Sentenced to life imprisonment by the Court of First Instance in Tirana, for the criminal offense of "premeditated murder", after stabbing the son of citizen Shyqo Ballazhiu, originally from Tepelena.
In 2000, Jani Alia killed E. Ballazhi with a knife, in the village named Zhabakin. E. Ballazhiu, 20 years old, was a childhood friend of Elton Ciço. They had grown up together in Tepelena, while Çiço was very interested in learning who his friend's killer was.
The moment he found out who was the killer of his friend, Elton Çiço sent a message to Ali in prison, saying that he will take revenge for this murder.
Jani Alia, then 23 years old, was arrested by the Greek police and held in custody. About 3 years later, Elton Çiço was also arrested by the Greek police, and imprisoned in Koridhalos prison.
The irony of fate is that Jani Alia is also in the same prison, sentenced to 18 years for murder, while Ciço was sentenced to 5 years for drugs.
There also happened the first physical collision between them, after Çiço wounded Alina with a knife, while they were out in the air.
A few weeks after the event, Jani Alia leaves prison on leave, after spending 10 years in a cell, but never returns and is declared wanted by the police.
A little while later, Elton Çiço also comes out, after completing his sentence. After this moment, the assassinations also begin.

Ciço shoots several times in his direction, but only a random person with the initials AQ is injured by the bullets.
After police investigations, it was discovered that the target was Jani Alia, who was in a "BMË X6" type car with license plate AA 727.., which he later disappeared, although this vehicle is currently blocked by the police.
Determined to take revenge, Çiço organized another assassination attempt, this time in Gjirokastër.
On April 25, 2016, Jani Alia was driving a friend's car when Ciço opened fire on him.
Alia was slightly injured in her hand but managed to survive this time too.
The police could not prove the authorship of Elton Çiço, while Jani Alia herself declared that it was just a mix-up.
From this moment, Jani Alia moves to Tirana and asks for the help of Renato Miloshi, with whom he had an early friendship.
Only 1 week later, on May 1, 2016, in a bar in Blok, Elton Çiço was executed with 2 bullets. For the incident, the police announced Jani Aliaj and Renato Milloš as the perpetrators.
After the murder of Elton Çiço, his friends, among them Andi Mustafaraj, promised revenge.
Only 4 months after Çiço's murder, and shortly after Mustafaraj's message, on August 21, 2016, at around 3:35 p.m. in a bar near the former Bus Park in Tirana, Nelgert Pata was assassinated with a gun. who is known as a friend and collaborator of Jani Aliajt.
Due to some decorative plants that the bar had, Nelgert Pata escaped the assassin's field of view and was slightly wounded in the ear. Immediately after the incident, Pata left in an unknown direction.
The same scheme was followed in the assassination attempt against Andi Mustafaraj on October 28 in a bar in the former exhibition area.
He was kept under observation until he got out of the car and sat down in the cafe, where he was shot 3 times with a gun and was injured.
The third murder is that of 34-year-old Nelgert Pata, friend of Jani Aliajt and rival of Elton Çiço's group. The goose was executed in his car and was found only a few minutes later by the police.
Also, in the suburbs of Fier, the police found a burnt car suspected to be the perpetrators', the media reported at the time.
