The Elbasan court has set security measures for 5 Elbasan police officers. Therefore, 3 of them have been assigned the measure of "house arrest" under the charges of "Passive corruption", "Abuse of duty" and "Computer forgery".
While two others have been suspended from office, two others have been suspended from office.
It is learned that the officers of the Interurban and Urban Traffic Section in the Elbasan Local Police Directorate have acted contrary to the law, related to the practices of administrative offenses committed by various citizens, in some cases they have carried out this illegal activity in exchange for monetary-corrupt benefit.

THE PROSECUTOR'S OFFICE NEAR THE COURT OF FIRST INSTANCE OF ELBSAN GENERAL JURISDICTION
They carry out illegal activities in exchange for money, the Prosecutor's Office of Elbasan requests security measures for five police officers
The Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of Elbasan General Jurisdiction requested security measures for five state police officers for "Abuse of duty", "Passive corruption of persons exercising public functions" and "Computer forgery", provided by articles 248 and 259 pg.1 and 186/a of the Criminal Code. This proceeding was registered based on the reference information of the Police Surveillance Agency, Elbasan-Korçë Regional Directorate.
After carrying out investigative actions within the framework of criminal proceedings no. 377/2024 for the criminal offenses related to the nature of this proceeding, by the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction Elbasan, it was requested in the court, the taking of personal security measures against the persons under investigation EH, AT, Xh .S, EK and N.Xh., because there is a reasonable suspicion that these citizens, in the capacity of police officers of the Interurban and Urban Traffic Section in the Elbasan Local Police Directorate, have committed actions contrary to the law, related to practices of administrative misdemeanors committed by various citizens, in some cases they have carried out this illegal activity in exchange for monetary-corrupt benefit.
The court decided to accept the prosecution's request and set the security measures for citizens with police duties as follows:
Assignment to the citizen under investigation EH, coercive measures "House arrest, provided by article 237 of the Code of Criminal Procedure suspected of committing the criminal offenses "Passive corruption of persons exercising public functions" and "Abuse of office", "Forgery computer" provided by article 259/1, 248, 186/a of the Criminal Code.
The imposition of coercive measures on the AT citizen "House arrest, provided by Article 237 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, suspected of committing the criminal offenses "Passive corruption of persons exercising public functions" and "Abuse of duty", "Computer forgery" of provided by article 259/1, 248, 186/a of the Criminal Code.
The assignment to the citizen Xh.S, coercive measures "House arrest, provided by article 237 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, suspected of committing the criminal offenses "Passive corruption of persons exercising public functions" and "Abuse of office", "Forgery computer" provided by article 259/1, 248, 186/a of the Criminal Code.
The assignment to the EC citizen, the security measure "Suspension of the exercise of a duty or public service, provided by article 242 of the Penal Code, suspected of committing criminal offenses "Abuse of duty", provided for by article 248 of the Code Criminal.
The assignment to the citizen N.Xh, the security measure "Suspension of the exercise of a duty or public service, provided by article 242 of the Penal Code, suspected of committing the criminal offense "Abuse of duty", provided for by article 248 of the Criminal Code.
In relation to this proceeding, the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance of Elbasan General Jurisdiction is continuing dynamic investigations into the involvement of other persons in this illegal activity.
