Other prostitution dens have been discovered in Tirana, where rented apartments in the center of the capital served as bases for illegal activity.
Police have arrested two foreign nationals, a Vietnamese and a Chinese, who were practicing prostitution in apartments on Durrës Street and on “Mine Peza” Street. In two separate operations, the blue uniforms have also seized 3 mobile phones, through which the foreign nationals were contacted by clients.
"As a result of the controls and operational work, carried out with the aim of identifying and cracking down on cases of renting apartments in various areas of the capital, to practice prostitution, specialists from the Trafficking Investigation Section and the services of Police Commissariat No. 3 finalized the coded operations:
-“Network”, during which the Vietnamese citizen, P. Th., 33 years old, was arrested, as it is suspected that on “Mine Peza” street, she had rented an apartment, for daily rent, to practice prostitution;
-“Nest 7”, during which the Chinese citizen, Y. Ë, 43 years old, was arrested, after being suspected of practicing prostitution, in a rented apartment, on Durrës Street. Following the procedural actions in this case, proceedings were initiated in a free state for a citizen, beneficiary of this illegal activity.
"The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action," the Police announced.
