A 23-year-old man has been arrested by Tirana Police, suspected of being the perpetrator of 12 thefts committed at kiosks in different areas of the capital.
According to the Police, the arrested person is the citizen with the initials Xh. M., previously convicted of theft and crimes in the field of narcotics.
His arrest was made as part of the operation codenamed "Kiosks", conducted by Police Commissariat No. 3, following a series of complaints from citizens about thefts that occurred during the period April-May 2026.
From the investigative and operational actions carried out immediately after the reports, the police managed to identify and locate the 23-year-old, who is suspected of having committed 12 thefts at kiosks that were administered in various areas under the jurisdiction of Police Station No. 3.
He is also suspected of stealing a bicycle.
The police are continuing their investigations to fully document the cases and verify the young man's possible involvement in other criminal events.
"As a result of investigative and operational actions, carried out immediately after citizens' denunciations, for thefts during the period April - May 2026, in kiosks that operated in various areas in the territory under the jurisdiction of Police Commissariat No. 3, the operation codenamed "Kiosks" was finalized."
As part of the operation, citizen Xh. M., 23 years old, suspected perpetrator of 12 cases of theft in these entities, as well as the theft of 1 bicycle, was identified, located and arrested.
The investigation continues to uncover other thefts that this citizen may have committed.
"The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action," the police announced.
