A road accident was recorded at around 09:30 on the Lushnje-Fier highway, near the village of Bishqethëm. A vehicle with Greek license plates was hit from behind by an SUV and consequently went off the road, ending up in the side canal of the highway.
As a result of the collision, the driver of the vehicle with Greek license plates, a 40-year-old immigrant returning from Greece to his family, was injured and transported to the Lushnja hospital. Medical sources indicate that his life is out of danger.
The collision caused material damage to both vehicles, mainly the SUV.
According to initial investigations, the "Opel" vehicle with Greek license plates had signaled to cross onto a secondary road when it was hit from behind and then ended up in the canal.
