New details have come to light from the serious incident, where the 52-year-old Albanian Andrea (Adriatik) Kalemi from Tepelena was injured with a knife, inside the Koridhalos prison in Greece.
Greek authorities suspect that the 28-year-old Egyptian perpetrator was paid by other people to commit the crime. This is after a craft knife and a phone were found in his hand.
According to the Greek media, the Egyptian had on his phone the photo of Andrea Kalemi, who was allegedly paid to kill him. As soon as he saw the photo of the Albanian, he shot several times with a knife, leaving him injured.
The Egyptian's phone was found broken and it is not known whether he broke it himself or from the fight with other prisoners. Andrea (Adriatik) Kalemi would gain his freedom in a few days. The Egyptian author was transferred from Domoko prison to Koridhalo prison.
Kalemi was wounded in the chest, neck and arm and was transported to the prison hospital where he received first aid.
As soon as they saw the scene, other prisoners hit the 28-year-old, who received wounds on his head and body. Like Kalemi, the author was transported to the prison clinic to receive first aid.
Kalemi survived a gun attack in August of this year, where he was shot with 10 bullets on the Greek island of Paxos. He is suspected of being involved in the saga of crimes after the murder of businessman Edmond Papa. Kalemi was the cousin of Akelsandre Sadik who was allegedly killed by the Pope or his men, in an assassination attempt with explosives in Tirana in 2020.
