Interpol officers in Podgorica arrested the Albanian citizen with the initials HH, who was wanted internationally for the attempted murder of several police officers while on duty in the city of Verlaine in Belgium.

The suspect was wanted by Interpol Brussels in order to carry out criminal proceedings at the Court of First Instance in Liège.

For this criminal offense in Belgium, he can be sentenced to up to 20 years in prison.

"The person has been arrested for extradition by order of the investigating judge and an exchange of information is expected between the Ministry of Justice of Montenegro and the Ministry of Justice of Belgium", the announcement states.
