Another police officer has fallen into handcuffs, as he is connected to crime and trafficking. AMP has landed today in Gjirokastër, arresting the AR officer, who is accused of de-conspiracy of operations, cooperating with gangs. He is also involved in drug and goods trafficking.
" The Police Surveillance Agency (Vlora - Gjirokastër Region) has executed the personal security measure "Arrest in prison" against the AR employee, who at the time of the registration of this criminal proceeding was on duty as an Agent in the Section for the Investigation of Crimes at the Gjirokastër Police Station and currently a police officer at the Dibër Police Station, suspected of the criminal offense "Abuse of duty".
From the investigations carried out with proactive methods in cooperation with the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Gjirokastër, this police officer was suspected of:
- deconspiracy of police actions;
- involvement in the criminal activity of drug trafficking;
- providing assistance for illegal border crossing;
- smuggling with other goods.
The investigation into the involvement of other officials in this criminal activity continues , AMP announced.
