
The Court of Durrës has ordered temporary prison arrest for Arjanit Maloku and Jurgen Kaçurri, who were arrested as part of an organized international cocaine trafficking group from Latin America to Italy.
Maloku and Kaçorri were arrested a few days ago as part of an international operation undertaken in 4 countries that led to the arrest of 61 people and the seizure of assets worth 60 million euros.
According to the Italian media, the criminal group had its headquarters in Albania, with organic branches throughout the national territory.
The group would take the drugs from South America to Europe using trade routes and then take them to Italy by truck, passing through Spain or the Netherlands.
Large quantities of cocaine were stored in 5 logistics bases based in Brescia, Romano di Lombardia, Palazzolo sull'Oglio and other municipalities in northern and central Italy.
