Two people, who trafficked in Albania vehicles stolen in Italy and equipped them with documents for the purpose of sale, have been put under investigation.
Two luxury vehicles worth 280,000 euros were seized.
Within the framework of the "Luxury cars" operation, criminal proceedings were initiated against citizens FM, 33 years old, resident of Lezhë and FD alias BT, 32 years old, resident of Luz i Vogël, Kavajë.
From the investigations, it has been found that these citizens have trafficked in Albania, vehicles stolen in different countries, mainly in Italy, making changes to the identification elements and equipping these vehicles with false documents, with the aim of selling them in our country.
As material evidence, 2 "Mercedes Benz" type vehicles were seized, suspected to be stolen, worth about 280,000 euros.
At the direction of the Vlora Prosecutor's Office, investigations are continuing to clarify other cases of vehicle trafficking, which may have been committed by these citizens.
