Friday should have been a normal working day, but it didn't happen like that after a serious incident took place around 15:30 and caused two deaths and seven injuries, among them the MP of SP, Bujar Çela.
Roland Hoxha and his son, Elidion, were working on the crane where, with his help, they were lifting 2 oxygen cylinders with which they were performing welding on the part of the terrace. It is suspected that during the work, a canister detached from the crane and hit the ground causing an explosion that destroyed everything and took the lives of the two.
The explosive force severed the 110 kV high voltage wires that passed over the warehouse that was being built by the deputy of the Socialist Party for 2 terms in Lushnje Bujar Çela, who was injured along with seven other people who were working in his warehouse. The injured were transported to the hospital for medical assistance, while the crane operator Roland Hoxha died at the scene and his son Elidion, who died 2 hours later. For them, it was the first day of work at this construction site, which turned out to be the last.
The injured were transported to the Tirana hospital: Sokol Lumi and Socialist MP Bujar Çela. Meanwhile, in Lushnja, the injured are Sajmir Korreshi, Ilia Sota, Lunedi Golemi, Eriget Gorovelli and Ervis Sharka.
The warehouse where they were working was completely destroyed, while other businesses in this industrial area, as well as several residences, received considerable damage.
The area where the explosion occurred was preserved as a crime scene and the police began investigations. Fire experts, genius forces, investigators and experts will return to the scene again to do a natural light inspection.
The investigations will also be carried out for the construction criteria of this metal silo under the 110 kv high voltage line, which according to experts creates induction at a distance of up to 3 m./TCH
